Taylor and his playmate Bailey are looking for new homes. They had a wonderful owner who had no choice but to ask us to help them into new homes. They are VERY well cared for and loved dogs.
Taylor is an AKC 10 month old Black Shitzu. Bailey is a UKC 8 month old tan, white, and black Shitzu.
If at all possible, the previous owner does request they be adopted together. We would give an application wanting both dogs priority.
A bit more about the pair from their previous owner ...
Taylor is very allergic to any topical flea medication, like Frontline. He gets open sores on his skin within hours. Flea collars and flea shampoo have not been tried on Taylor so should be tested, if used at all. A vet did recommend a flea shampoo for him, but it was never used.
Bailey is allergic to bees. He found out the hard way. A bee sting kit should be kept on hand for him.
The pair has been free fed all their lives and are accustomed to dry food. They aren't picky about the brand. They love rawhide chews and they love their toys. They both play catch and return the ball to you. They both like to pull leaves off plants and bushes so a new owner with poisonous plants should be careful and keep them out of reach.
Taylor at one time had a problem with chewing but that was quickly and effectively broken by spraying vinegar on the area. Taylor loves to lick bare skin but he will stop if you say no and push him gently away.
The pair love car rides. They also have a love of ice cubes and will come running if they hear anyone getting ice!
These are sweet pampered pups and they need to be in a home where they will continue to be pampered.
