Meet Lexie. Lexie’s story is a common one. This young dog came to us this week when her caregiver gave her up due to a move. At first, Lexie was devastated as her companion drove away and left her behind. Her anxieties were getting the best of her. So, knowing that Lexie loved to go for rides, we packed her up and took her for a long ride and soon she accepted the abrupt change in her life. Now, Lexie is one of the pack and she enjoys the company of her new canine and people friends alike. Lexie looks and acts a lot like a Golden Retriever, although her gorgeous blue-grey coat color is more like that of an Australian Shepherd. Lexie is a quick learner and obviously very loyal. We would like to find her a “forever home” this time around, so she doesn’t get left behind again.
